Pound is a full-body cardio jam session inspired by the fun of playing the drums.
Instead of listening to music, you BECOME the music! You JOIN THE BAND!
Pound combines cardio, conditioning and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements.
In Pound we use lightly- weighted exercise drumsticks (called Ripstix) which are 1/4 lb each and we combine them with choreography that goes perfectly with music that ranges from classic rock to pop.
Ripstix are designed to maximize your workout and get you ripped by altering the physics of your arm movement to burn more calories.
Pound allows participants to see, feel and hear their body’s movements.
The auditory component of striking sticks and simulated drumming is rewarding and motivating.
Pound modifications include “air drumming” if a class participant has back or knee problems.
POUND IS FUN and MUSIC DRIVEN and is modified for every age and stage!
In Pound, class participants can burn up to 900 calories per hour while strengthening and sculpting their bodies by drumming to a leaner, slimmer physique.
Currently, classes are on Wednesdays at 1:45 pm and Saturdays at 12:30 pm.
